New Year’s Eve 2023 has been here for more than a day now. Obviously, the arrival of the New Year was not the same everywhere in the world due to the different time zones. Among the countries that were able to celebrate first were Japan, Home of manga and anime and thus by those who produce them, who obviously haven’t been left unmoved by the party.

As every year, the mangakas work hard to create special illustrations to welcome the new year, and the same goes for the character designers and animators of the most famous animation studios, who use their most famous characters to wish all viewers the best of luck. So we collect the honors and the celebrations: here they are Happy 2023 wishes from the world of anime and manga with a collection of images that you can find below.

Anime producers have been busy celebrating alongside fans of the most popular series. As can be seen from the many tweets collected on the official sites, we are celebrating with them Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Kaguya-sama: Love is War, My Hero Academia, Mob Psycho 100 and more. However, under the mangaka front there are many who celebrated: Soichiro Yamamoto (Takagi-san, Soredemo Ayumu wa Yosetekuru and Kunoichi Tsubaki), Demizu Posuka (The Promised Neverland), Nekokurage (The Apothecary’s Diaries), Yuji Kaku (Jigokuraku: Infernal Paradise and Ayashimon), Naoya Matsumoto (Kaiju #8), and others.

Obviously the celebrations have aims both at the beginning of the year of the rabbit – according to the Chinese zodiac, the year 2023 falls under this animal – and to the classic celebrations, which include a temple visit on the first day of the year. Which Happy 2023 illustration do you like the most among these? In the meantime, there are several stops this week: the manga ONE PIECE or the anime My Hero Academia will not be released, and the same goes for infinitely many other products in the same branch.
