For his part, Inuyasha is a manga, written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi that he published in the magazine Weekly Shonen Sunday from the publisher Shogakukan between November 1996 and June 2008. The publisher has compiled the work in a total of 56 volumes. Unlike the Takahashi comedies of the time, this manga had a much darker feel and a serious plot based on the Sengoku era to favor the portrayal of violent content without leaving out the comedy entirely.

Synopsis for Hanyou no Yashahime

Sesshomaru and Inuyasha’s daughters go on an adventure that transcends time!

In feudal Japan, the half-demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated during a forest fire. In desperate search for her younger sister, Towa finds a mysterious tunnel that transports her to modern Japan, where she is found and taken care of by Kagome Higurashi’s brother Sota and his family.

Ten years later, the tunnel that connects the two eras will be reopened so that Towa can return to Setsuna, who has now become a youkai assassin with Kohaku. But the worst part is that Setsuna seems to have lost her memories and no longer recognizes Towa.

Now, along with Moroha, Inuyasha’s daughter, and Kagome, the three will travel between two eras in an adventure to regain a forgotten past.
