Warner Bros. Japan released the first ninety seconds of Gintama: The Final, the final film about the work of Hideaki Sorachi, which hit theaters in January last year, on social media. As you can see above The intro of the film stages a funny Dragon Ball parody, in which the protagonists call themselves "Z Warriors".

Hideaki Sorachi has always called himself a fan of Akira Toriyama's work, quoted several times by the characters in his comic. In 2019, Toriyama revealed that her daughter was obsessed with Gintama and that she even once accused Dragon Ball of being a poor copy. The two authors are very close friends, and seeing such an homage can only please fans of both works.

Gintama: The final debuted at No. 1 at the Japanese box officebreaking the absolute dominance of Demon Slayer: Infinity Train, which reached the top for the first time in twelve weeks at the top. The film grossed over a billion yen in about two weeks and was a hit. It is estimated that it was mostly seen by female viewers between the ages of 20 and 30.
