With the return of the Flashpoint universe, DC Comics seems determined the path of Thomas Wayne’s Batman collides with that of two characters from the Watchmen universe introduced during the Doomsday Clock sequel series released between 2017 and 2019.
In the Flashpoint mini-series announced by DC Comics, titled Flashpoint Beyond, Thomas Wayne will have to deal with an investigation aimed at capture a mysterious serial killer known as the Clockwork Killer.
The preview of Flashpoint Beyond #0, a double size introductory edition written by Geoff Johns and illustrated by Eduardo Risso, anticipates the inclusion in the history of pantomime and puppetCharacters first introduced in Doomsday Clock and from the Watchmen universe.
At the moment, It’s unclear if Flashpoint Beyond will take place in the Watchmen universe or if they are alternate versions of the characters operating in the Flashpoint universe. At least since Doomsday Clock, Flashpoint and Flashpoint Beyond they are all written by Johnsit is clear that the screenwriter has full power to mix his characters as he sees fit.
