The editorial Kodansha officially revealed that the manga series is the action fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Shinobu ohtaka, Orientis adapted to anime. As part of the same statement Kodansha announced that this manga series will no longer be published weekly in the magazine Weekly Shonen Magazine After the premiere of its chapter 113. Starting with episode 114, which will be released in March, the manga will be published monthly in another publisher's magazine, the Bessatsu Shonen magazine.
Ohtaka started publishing the manga in the magazine Weekly Shonen Magazine from the publisher Kodansha in May 2018. The publisher published the tenth compilation volume on August 17, followed by the eleventh on November 17 in Japan.
Shinobu Ohtaka is perhaps best known for being the manga writer Point, Mage: Sinbad no Bouken and Sumomomo Momomo: Chijou Saikyou no Yomewho inspired all of the anime adaptations.
