However, the film was slated to hit Japanese theaters on August 15 as the COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on the planning of the premiere and the government restricted the holding of mass events. The decision was made to postpone it until next December 5th.

Aniplex released the game for smartphones Fate / Grand Order in summer 2015 in Japan. The game was released in English in June 2017 in the US and Canada.
