Dragon Ball Z It’s arguably the most popular Shonen battle of all time. Akira Toriyama’s work has garnered a huge audience, including many of today’s authors, such as The Seven Deadly Sins’ Nakaba Suzuki, a fan of Dragon Ball.

From time to time, some oddities about the work that have never been revealed before emerge. For example, Dragon Ball’s time travel was explained by an expert some time ago, while today we will rediscover Toriyama’s statements about it Saiyan hair.

In an interview translated in 2008, the Japanese author talked a lot about the hair of the greatest warriors in the universe, revealing various curiosities. As posted on Twitter by @daikosaiyan, Toriyama spoke first about the black hair, a trait common to all Saiyans that “I am so because Goku has hair black. I decided to style them like this before Vegeta and Nappa arrived and initially Radditz only had black hair because he was Goku’s brother.. Nappa, on the other hand, has no hair just because he shaves it.”

To the question “Saiyan hair can grow“Toriyama replied instead:”At one point in the story, Vegeta says that Saiyan hair doesn’t grow. But who can tell? Look how long Raditz has them. Saiyan hair and beard however, they grow more slowly than those of Earthlings.

Toriyama ends the interview by joking and saying that Saiyans can suffer from baldness, albeit in very rare cases. Interviews with the creator of Goku are always very bright and funny, like when Toriyama explained that he doesn’t remember the characters from Dragon Ball.
