In fact, during an interview, the TOEI team explained a detail about the famous merger: “After Goku and Vegeta used an object to fuse, they became Vegetto. Maybe even better than Super Saiyan 4!“
According to her, it can therefore be assumed that Goku SSJ4 and Vegetto are equivalent in reality. During the fight with Baby Vegeta, however, Goku explains to Goten and Trunks that Gotenks has no chance against the opponent and that only Super Saiyan 4 has the properties to do so.
