During the manga of Dragon Ball great continues with a new saga characterized by much brighter tones than in the past, the final bars of the Granolah arc have yet to appear in tankobon format. In anticipation of the release of the twentieth volume of the manga, Shueisha has revealed Toytaro’s magnificent illustration.
In the post at the bottom of the page, shared by @kamisamaexp, you can see the significant portrayal of one of the most relevant moments in Son Goku’s history: the to understand the true nature of a Saiyan by eavesdropping on the data stored in his father’s scouter, Baddock. While the retcon on the character of Bardock was not well received by the community, it had a lot of weight both in telling past events, such as the extermination of the Ceruleans and Granolah’s past, and in prompting Goku to have a better understanding have for its origin.
The two are depicted in the center of the illustration, with their clothes in ruins covered in wounds, but determined to respond to enemy attacks with ferocity and aggression, following their Saiyan blood. In the background they are instead Vegeta in Ultra Ego, Granolah surrounded by a powerful aura and the dangerous gas transformed and now more powerful than ever.
