THE Fans of The Promised Neverland looked forward to the anime’s second season. After a successful escape in the 12 episodes of the first season, Cloverworks had already announced the extension, the return of which was initially expected in late 2020 and then postponed to January 2021 due to the slowdown caused by the coronavirus.

However, the result was not what viewers expected. CloverWorks actually decided to change the maps by radically changing The Promised Neverland 2, sparking fan anger for the removal of various narrative arcs and key characters. The turn of the story is absolutely unpleasant for the public, who are giving their opinion on major portals of the network like My Anime List.

When the first episode arrived, the average rating for the anime was 8.30, almost as high as that of the first season. The number slowly declined until The Promised Neverland 2×04 arrived, causing a much faster descent to the bottom. After the last few episodes, the process has intensified even further. Right now on my anime list, The Promised Neverland 2 has a 6.65 rating and continues to drop off day by day.

At this point it is difficult for the final episode of the series to correct the mistakes made so far.
