Kyojuro Rengoku’s flamboyant pride was one of the pillars of Demon Slayer Movie: The Mugen Train. The film highlighted the skills of the Flame Breathing Hashira, who is determined to face Akaza despite all his injuries and problems arising from the fight. His gesture will not be forgotten by the protagonists.
However, Akaza eventually offered him immortality, the ability to improve himself forever and escape human pain and troubles. Anyone who has seen the movie, or even Demon Slayer season 2, where these events were suggested again, knows that Rengoku turned down the suggestion. What if he accepted instead? How Rengoku would have been in the demon version?
TheRealSketchyArtist took their version of this What If from Demon Slayer to Instagram with an image that doesn’t need many descriptions. Rengoku became a demon and has left humanity, but not the path of the hunters: he is seen continuing to retain possession of his own Nichirin, but the rest of his body is transformed, with red spots all over, eyes with black sclera and a blinding yellow within the pupils with their number as a crescent and finally two reddish horns on the forehead.
It would certainly have been a force to be reckoned with and would have reached the highest ranks of Demon Slayer’s Crescent Moons.
