The excitement among fans of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba it has not yet subsided. Almost a year after the anime ended, the volumes are still being stormed. Months after completing the manga on Weekly Shonen Jump, the mile-long queues in front of every comic book store don’t stop getting their hands on the new Tankobons.
Now clothing stores in particular are facing the hordes of fans. The famous UNIQLO brand does indeed have one Collaboration with Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Prepare a range of t-shirts priced at 990 yen plus tax for a line called Demon Slayer UT. A few days ago, the T-shirts went on sale in the chain’s stores.
The result? Kilometers of queues in shopping centers and only addressed to UNIQLO branches where these Demon Slayer t-shirts are sold. Many have reported the astonishing length of these fan queues with photos and other evidence. Below is a gallery of these photos stretching from the store in the mall to the outside exits.
The Japanese were certainly not overcrowded, but kept an orderly single file. However, it should be noted that the size of this queue indicates how deeply ingrained this new phenomenon is in the Japanese public. Who knows if something like this will happen when Demon Slayer’s new volume hits stores on October 22nd, 2020.
