In Demon Slayer 2×17 Tanjiro’s adventures continue in the red light district. The young demon slayer faces the demonic brothers of the sixth crescent, Daki and Gyutaro. The latter has already eliminated Tengen Uzui and Inosuke while Zenitsu was buried in the rubble of a house.
Demon Slayer 2×17 starts in a Red light district on fire because of Daki and Gyutaro. The sixth crescent’s strongest demon arrives at Tanjiro and slowly begins torturing him while exchanging a few words with him. there Desperation reigns supreme at the beginning of the episode, and Tanjiro seems unable to rebel against Gyutaro.
At one point, however, Gyutaro notices the chest with Nezuko. He therefore understands that Tanjiro not only fights demons, but also lives to protect his sister, although she is also a demon. Also, Gyutaro fights for his sister’s protection, thus proposing to Tanjiro become a demon.
In this way the boy can become much stronger and therefore protect his sister without problems. Also, Tanjiro would become an ally of Gyutaro, saving himself from a later confrontation. It’s a pity, however, that the young demon slayer has other plans, and emphasizing Gyutaro’s words was only one tactic to distract him.
The comparison between Tanjiro and Gyutaro may seem pointless, but it actually makes us understand, like me Demons make people join them. Then, in Demon Slayer 2×17, Tanjiro exceeds the limit of his power, defeating Gyutaro and giving a final signal: he will never become a demon.
