Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba showed off a surprisingly bloody new ability for Nezuko Kamado in the new installment of the series. The second season of the anime has now reached the turning point of the narrative arc red light district and with that he began to unleash all of Nezuko’s new powers.

Nezuko entered and went through a berserk state at the end of Demon Slayer 2×13 remarkable demonic transformation that instantly increased his strength and speed. The latest installment showcases more of that power while revealing a surprising new ability.

The previous episode hinted at that Nezuko could fight on the level of powerful demons like Daki thanks to his new berserk state, but the latest installment in the series took that to the next level when he started using some abilities we didn’t know about. Respond instinctively when Daki decapitates her early in the episode, Nezuko coagulates his blood and manages to hold his body together even when ripped to pieces.

In Episode 7 of Demon Slayer 2, which also introduces a new key visual, we see Daki smash Nezuko’s body multiple times with his sharp ligaments. This would have been the end of any other demon, but Nezuko reveals that he still has full control over his severed limbs.

As a matter of fact, Thanks to the coagulated blood, not only is he able to hold all the severed parts of his body together, but he can control them and put himself back together. Daki is also stunned by Nezuko’s regeneration rate, which would be on par with a Crescent like Daki.

Although this ability is tied to Nezuko’s blood, it doesn’t feel like it’s a blood art like the ability to ignite your own blood, which we’ve seen both against Rui and in this episode. That could mean that Nezuko still has a lot of skills available. But since unleashing these abilities requires a total loss of self-control, it probably won’t be a power to use in every fight.

What do you think of Nezuko’s new skills? What about his berserker demonic transformation in the last episode? What do you think of the introduction of Demon Slayer: Entertainment District Arc’s true enemy? Please let us know what you think about it in the comments. Finally we leave you a great Nezuko Demon Slayer 2 cosplay and remind you that you can see the Demon Slayer 2 episodes on Crunchyroll.
