Sui Ishida has worked tirelessly over the past few weeks. The serialization of Choujin X, his new successful work, actually comes out almost every week. Here’s what happened in Chapter 7 of His Dark Fantasy, which recently landed on Shueisha’s digital platform MangaPlus.
The chapter entitled “Boiler” follows on from the end of the previous one: That is with Tokyo and its new ally, who is fighting the White Snake Choujin. For the first time ever, the protagonist manages to complete the Full Beastification and thus becomes the Vulture Choujin, a kind of clumsy and treacherous vulture.
Despite its newfound power, Tokyo fails scratch the snake’s scaleswhich turns out to be decidedly more skillful and dangerous even when numerically inferior. The protagonist therefore decides to run away and carry his new friend on his shoulders. However, she is upset, determined to defeat the giant snake.
Spurred on by the little girl’s words, Tokyo gathers its courage and plunges into the beast’s jaws, leaving it to the decisive attack. At this point, however, the Beastification of Tokyo comes to an end: the boy suddenly returns to normal.
When everything seemed lost, a new entry will help. With a surprising ability that changes the size of the knives at will, the mysterious figure becomes pierces the serpentwho eventually succumbs.
Passed out after the fight ended, Tokyo wakes up along with Hoshi Sandaq, an instructor from Yamato Mori, a private organization that deals with Feeding the Choujin. Is Tokyo safe or is it a new threat?
