Netflix has given the green light to the production of the first in a long line of Castlevania spin-offs, directed by Sam Deats and with the son of Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades. The series (currently unnamed) takes place during the French Revolution and the young Maria Renard will also be among the protagonists.
The announcement came on the fourth day of Netflix Geek Week, and for now all we know is that the animation series is in production at Powerhouse Animation Studios. Sam Deats and Adam Deats celebrated the show’s return on Twitter, Write “we hope you are all happy because we will not stop“is”the Belmont story continues!βAnd will cover the roles of director or assistant director.
No further information is known at this time, with the exception of the setting in 18th century France. A few months ago, however, the series’ writers confirmed that the spin-offs were a complete renewal of the character cast, starting with the protagonists. More information about the series will be announced later this year.

[AGGIORNAMENTO]: Netflix incorrectly wrote that the protagonist of the new series would be “the son of Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades,” although the split was scheduled about three hundred years after Castlevania 4 closed. The streaming giant corrected itself in a second post stating that Judge Trevor Belmont will be heir, not his son.
The Castlevania universe just keeps getting bigger.
