We're getting closer and closer to the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Flashforward. The story of Boruto and Kawaki had started many years ago with a few cryptic pages in a ruined Konoha, a scarred protagonist with a special eye and then one Kawaki is getting worse and worse, at least visually. And now we know why.

The Otsutsuki's power has completely darkened Kawaki's mind, who wants to get rid of all aliens on Earth, starting with the one internalized by his friend and brother Boruto Uzumaki. His desire to kill her is so strong that he will stop at nothing and no one, and that's why he also kidnapped the Hokage Naruto and Hinata, although he keeps them safe. But now he has decided to fight already with the protagonist, and that's how Boruto got his scar after a short fight.

The chapter Boruto: Naruto Next Generations 79 marks the beginning of a new era for the manga. The acceleration in this phase was very noticeable, throwing aside all expectations and theories about the Eida saga and forced coexistence. In fact, Kawaki's escape interrupts every thought of the girl, but not only. Konoha must now get back on its feet without its leader and strongest ninja and prepare for the next enemy attacks, especially Code's.

The next chapter therefore marks the end of the saga of Boruto's youth, with a story that will conclude this phase before sending everyone into a time warp that continues the story for a few years, perhaps just before the famous battle at the Leaf Village. Boruto: Naruto Next Generations 79 will be released on Manga Plus on March 19, 2023.
