DC Comics has announced Batman / Superman: World’s Finest, a new regular comic series that Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent will share the stage. This team-up series, written by Mark Waid and illustrated by Dan Mora, is something of a relaunch of World’s Finest Comics, the historic DC newspaper that debuted in 1941.
“In the not too distant past, Superman’s powers have been overwhelmed by a devastating chemical attack by Metal, and the only possible ally the almighty Tomorrow Man can turn to during this time of trouble is the Dark Knight of Gotham: the Batman“Says the synopsis published by DC Comics.
This isn’t the only common header between these characters: recently, the two DC flagship superheroes were the protagonists of a story out of continuity in which Batman and Superman discovered each other as brothers. Batman / Superman: World’s Finest seems to be a canon story, however, although its place in the DC Universe timeline is still unclear.
Batman / Superman: World’s Finest # 1 will be available in the US on March 15, 2022. The book will have numerous variants. by the authors of the Calbiros by Jim Lee and Chip Zdarsky.
