The platform Netflix Japan published a special illustration starring the anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Keisuke Itagaki, Baki; and the anime adaptation of the manga written by Yabako Sandrovich and illustrated by Daromeon, Kengan ashura.
Itagaki began publishing the Grappler Baki manga in the magazine Weekly Shonen Champion from the publisher Akita Shoten in October 1991, and it is still in publication through the serialization of multiple arcs, with 137 compiled volumes accumulated to date.
Recently, a new season of animation titled Baki, of 39 episodes, produced by studios TMS Entertainment, under the direction of Toshiki Hirano and scripts written by Tatsuhiko Urahata premiered in June 2018, with a second season premiered on June 4 on Netflix.
For their part, Sandrovich and Daromeon began publishing the manga Kengan Ashura in April 2012 and completed it in August 2018, with a total of 27 published compilation volumes. The work inspired a 24-episode anime adaptation produced by the studios. Larx Entertainment, under the direction of Seiji Kishi and scripts written by Makoto Uezu, released in July 2019.
