Usually Shueisha spends little on the series that start in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. There have been few exceptions over time, like that of the unfortunate Samurai 8: The Legend of Hachimaru. The editorial team could now eagerly push ahead with the new title Ayashimon, is now sending Yuji Kaku away.
Yuji Kaku is a writer who has made a name for himself over the past few years. A student of Tatsuki Fujimoto, Mangaka of Fire Punch and Chainsaw Man, inherited a certain vein from his master that makes him a different author than the one you normally see on Weekly Shonen Jump. Jigokuraku – Hell’s Paradise is a demonstration of it, a manga that, thanks to the success achieved, also becomes an anime. And like his teacher, Sensei Kaku decided to switch from Shonen Jump + to Weekly Shonen Jump and made his debut in the hugely popular magazine.
Ayashimon will be published on MangaPlus from Sunday, November 14th at 4pm in English and that will be his official debut, but thanks to the first leaked spoilers, many fan types have already poured into the net. Not only that, because Shueisha opened an official Twitter account for this series much earlier than usual. Additionally, something seems to have been floating around in the name of Ayashimon since this summer, a sign that the release has been planned for some time, beyond the custom of Shueisha.
It remains only to find out if the first of the new series from Weekly Shonen Jump lives up to expectations or whether it will be one of the other two series that will win a prominent role in the world’s most famous manga magazine.
