After releasing a teaser anticipating the announcement of a new series starring the Avengers, Marvel has officially announced All-Out Avengersa regular series starting next fall, following Earth’s Mightiest Heroes on their most action-packed and adrenaline-pumping adventures.
The announcement was made at Fan Expo Philadelphia, and the details of the series came straight from the mouth of Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief, CB Cebulski. All-Out Avengers is written by novelist Derek Landy and illustrated by acclaimed artist Greg Land. As Cebulski revealed, from the first cartoon, the reader is catapulted into the plot of the story with no context and no explanation because there is no time to ask questions.
“As Tom Brevoort [editor di Marvel, ndr.] He suggested this concept to me, I thought it was a brilliant idea, the product of a creative genius, but also totally unattainable! But the opportunity to start a new Avengers series and be able to write about every character who’s ever been Avengers was too much for this particular Marvel fanboy.“says Landy.”Add to that the fact that Tom Greg wanted Land as an artist and my choice was already made“.
“Having just wrapped up a good run in the spectacular Symbiote Spider-Man series, I wasn’t sure what the future held“complements the artist country.”Being able to “go all out”, “give it all” seemed intriguing, but I was really hooked when I read the synopsis. After reading Derek’s script #1 I already knew it was going to be a fun and challenging project. All scripts to date are full of spectacular and interesting scenes for our ever-changing Avengers team. Starting each issue in the middle of the storyline is a great narrative approach that allows us to hit the ground running from the start“.
Below we suggest Greg Land’s first All-Out Avengers illustration. The first issue of this new regular series is scheduled for release in the United States in September. But first, the Avengers must face off against the Eternals and the X-Men in the new Marvel Judgment Day crossover event.
