Kadokawa Publishing issued a press release announcing that the light novels were written by Makiko Nagaoka and illustrated by Mako, Keikenzumi na Kimito, Keiken Zero na Orega, Otsukiai suru Hanashi (You were experienced, I wasn't, so we started dating), will have an anime adaptation. The press release did not reveal any production details or a premiere date, but included the first promotional image for the project.
Additionally, MakoIllustrator of the original light novels, shared a special illustration to celebrate the announcement.
Nagaoka started publishing the light novels via the imprint Fujimi Fantasia Bunko from Kadokawa in September 2020, while the fourth volume was released on February 19, followed by the fifth on September 20 in Japan. Noyama carpaccio is responsible for the manga adaptation that will be published through the service Gangan Online from Square Enix since February of this year.
