On the official page for the anime adaptation of the light novels by Asato Asato, 86: Eighty-six, it was announced that a special event entitled “86: Eighty-six – 1st anniversary surgeryβOn April 10, 2022 in Japan. The event, as the title suggests, will celebrate the first anniversary of the anime adaptation’s premiere, and the statement revealed the first details.
Those who purchase the animation project’s Blu-ray / DVD packages will be given an Early Access Pass to purchase tickets to this upcoming event, which will include the lead vocal, namely: Shouya Chiba (Shinei Nouzen), Ikumi Hasegawa (Vladilena Militia), Seiichirou Yamashita (Raiden Shuga), Natsumi Fujiwara (Theoto Rikka) and Saryumi Suzushiro (Kurena Kukumila). Besides, the artists have Hitorie, Hiroyuki Sawano, Kohta yamamoto, Mizuki (UNITS), Laco (EOW), Cumi (BINJU) and more feature live performances.
The press release also revealed the illustrations that various distributors in Japan claim will be provided as a benefit of purchasing the project’s Blu-ray / DVD compilation packages. These illustrations also feature some with chibi designs that inspire acrylic keychains that are included as perks from the packages themselves, not the stores.
The first part aired during the spring 2021 season (April-June) and consisted of eleven episodes. A second part is currently on air and has been confirmed with a total of twelve episodes. For his part, Asato Asato began in April 2017 with the publication of the light novels on the publisher’s label Dengeki Bunko from Kadokawa. Shirabi (Musaigen is not a phantom world) and the artist I-IV (Aldnoah.Zero, Re: Creators) were responsible for the illustrations.

- Toshimasa Ishii (Uchuu Kyoudai, Boku dake ga Inai Machi, Occult; Nine) is responsible for directing the anime in the studios A-1 pictures, with studies Shirogumi responsible for CG animation.

Synopsis to 86: Eighty-Six
The Republic of the Holy Magnolia. This country has long been besieged by its neighbor, the Giadic Empire, which created a series of unmanned drones called the Legion. After years of meticulous research, the republic has finally developed its own autonomous drones that turn the one-sided fight into a lossless war – at least that is what the government claims.
In truth there is no such thing as a bloodless war. Beyond the walls that protect the republic’s 85 territories is the “nonexistent” “eighty-six sector”. The young men and women of this deserted country are branded “eighty-six” and, robbed of their humanity, lead the “unmanned” weapons into battle … battlefield. Lena is a “manipulator” who, with the help of a special communication, commands the detachment from the far back. The farewell story to the difficult and sad struggle between the two begins!
