The arrival on Netflix of the second part of the anime Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean brought viewers back to Green Dolphin Street Prison, where Jolyne Kujo makes every effort to save Jotaro. However, the new episodes were also a valuable opportunity to deepen the friendship between Enrico Pucci and Dio Brando.
Already in the first part of the anime it was clear how much the prison chaplain had been deeply attached to the historical antagonist of the series, but the new flashbacks shed light on how closely tied that friendship was to the mutual interests between the two. The main goal of both was in fact reaching heaven, a desire that was shattered when Jotaro Kujo managed to kill Dio Brando at the end of Stardust Crusaders.
From that moment on, Pucci’s sole purpose in life became his dear friend’s revenge and, with it, the Destruction of the Joestar family. Below you can see fans applauding the incredible friendship and respect the two characters had for one another. Now that word is yours, what do you think of the relationship between Pucci and God? Do you think Pucci’s character was well constructed in those first two parts of the anime? Tell us in the comments.
It’s also funny to me how Dio, the epitome of pure evil, spoke to Pucci about the sky and such πππ as Sir…
