Pokemon is ready to usher in a new journey for Nintendo Switch owners through Pokémon Legends: Arceus, a journey into the past for gamers while the anime will be wrapped in a new four-episode special story arc.
This special will see ash and Good take on some new challenges and bring back some familiar faces too, like one of Ash’s early traveling companions. Brock is back on the show and has changed dramatically since we last saw it on the small screen.
When Brock first appeared in the opening episodes of the Pokémon anime, he was the Tin Gymnastics Ladder in the Kanto region and was one of the first major obstacles for Ash Ketchum in his early days as a Pokémon trainer. Brock went from foe to friend, following Ash on his first adventures with the Misty, director of a water hall.
But as we got to know him, he was more interested in women than helping Ash on his journey. Finally, Brock has taken a different path than our protagonist trying to fulfill his dream of becoming a Pokémon doctor, which according to the latest anime special, he seems to have been enthusiastic about fulfilling.
Twitter user Anipoke Fandom was able to capture several screenshots from Arceus’ latest special, which again follows Brock down Ash Ketchum’s path as he is introduced to Goh and drawn to a new adventure which he would never have been a part of without this reunion.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus looks set to be one of the biggest Pokemon games of recent years, and it includes some new gameplay elements the franchise hasn’t seen before. While Pokémon fans may get this new game tomorrow, it may be some time before fans can instead watch this four-episode special that brings back Brock and several other key figures from Ash Ketchum’s past. Pokémon Expeditions did a great job of reuniting Ash with various personalities from his past, and we certainly wouldn’t be surprised if he continues to follow suit in the future.
What do you think of Brock fulfilling his dream of becoming a Pokémon Doctor? Let us know in the comments below.
The reunion scene was just perfect. Ash and Dawn happily reunite with Brock, only for Go to excitedly jump in, saying how badly he wants to meet Brock after hearing so much about him from Ash. #anipoke pic.twitter.com/bk7rIX1Kc3
