A new visual for the upcoming animated film based on the manga written and illustrated by Takehiko inou, Slam dunk, was revealed via the project’s official Twitter account. Slam Dunk Synopsis
Hanamichi Sakuragi, notorious for his temperament, massive stature and fiery red hair, enrolls at Shohoku High School in the hopes of finally getting a girlfriend and ending his bad luck streak of fifty rejections. However, his notoriety precedes him, which means that most students avoid him. Shortly afterwards, after certain events, Hanamichi had two unwavering ideas: “I hate basketball” and “I urgently need a girlfriend”.
One day a girl named Haruko Akagi comes up to him, unaware of his temperament, and asks him if he likes basketball. Hanamichi immediately falls in love with her and gives a passionate affirmation.
