Sasuke was born on July 23rd, just a few months before Naruto himself, and was born under the astrological sign Leo, a fire sign. In many ways, Sasuke truly embodies the lion of the zodiac in Naruto’s story. Nobody can stand in the way of a proud lion.
In many ways Sasuke is the perfect lion in Naruto’s story especially for his fierce determination to make a name for himself. Born into the respected Uchiha family, much was expected of Sasuke from the start, even when he saw his own talented brother Itachi.
Even by Uchiha standards, Sasuke is one motivated and aggressive type who wants more than anything to become an excellent ninja and deserve his father’s approval. Like a proud and stubborn Leo, Sasuke works tirelessly to become the number 1 but soon becomes frustrated by his father’s reactions. Fugaku and Itachi who ignore it or take it for granted. No Leo is satisfied with overshadowing or being anonymous, Sasuke wants to be a protagonist.
Years after the Uchiha massacre Sasuke finds himself in Squad 7 with Naruto Uzumaki and Sakura Haruno, and Sasuke, the proud Leo, feels that his team is not good enough for him. Obsessed with gaining strength only to face his brother one day again, and as a stubborn and vain Leo, Sasuke refuses to see anyone other than his own.
For a time, Sasuke kept his Leo nature in check and enjoyed a healthy rivalry with Naruto, however that changes when Sasuke meets Itachi and Kisame again Hoshigaki. Sasuke resumes his ruthless pursuit of power and betrays the entire leaf village in order to get what he wants.
He sees people only as resources or obstacles in his search for Itachi’s success, and only a proud and ferocious Leo could see things so opposite to each other, black and white. Sasuke retains his pride even after becoming Orochimaru’s subordinate and when the time comes Sasuke also turns against Orochimaru and absorbs it, the latter being seen as an easy stepping stone to reach Itachi.
Sasuke then forms his own team with Suigetsu, Jugo and Karin and faces many powerful enemies, from Itachi himself to Killer Bee to the 5 Kage who have gathered in the Land of Iron. Sasuke’s Leonean nature is finally tamed when he has his last fight against Naruto and becomes an ally of the 7th Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki, in adulthood.
