Pokémon and ONE PIECE represent two pillars of Japanese pop culture that can capture millions of fans around the world, largely thanks to the impressive amount of merchandise powered by video games, films, spin-offs, and many initiatives and collaborations with major brands.
As much as the two works may appear fundamentally different from each other, there are many similarities that can be found primarily in the mythological component that characterizes both the respective universes and many of the characters and their transformations.
However, a fan of both series wanted to bring the two franchises closer from now on three starter Pokémon from the Hoenn region, Discontinued the Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald games and partially changed their design to make them the perfect Mugiwara.
As you can see in the pictures below, Treeko, Torchic and Mudkip have become the pirate hunters Zoro, Sanji Gambanera and the Jinbe Knight of the Seas. The added details and the fidelity to the characteristics of the three pirates have resulted in an unexpected but beautiful amalgamation.
