Dragon ball is still one of the most relevant works in the manga and anime industry. Akira Toriyama has indeed established new styles that can affect generations of mangaka and its popularity has reached many areas and one of the most famous techniques was mentioned in the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe movie.
Shang-Chi: The Legend of the Ten Rings plays one of the best martial artists in the Marvel universe. Kung fu master, specializing in Wushu, Shang Chi also very often relies on energetic and mystical techniques associated with Ki, and in the latter part of the film he does a nice quote on the iconic Kamehameha wave.
Shang Chi tells of an intense confrontation and describes one of his attacks as one “Kamehameha Fireball”. The reference refers to the final battle in which, after taking control of the Ten Rings, the protagonist begins to spin the artifacts that begin to collect energy in the form of a fiery ball that Shang himself directed at the opponent will throw. A beautiful tribute to the universe of Akira Toriyamathat deserves a small place even in the gigantic Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Finally, we’d like to remind you that Tite Kubo redesigned the cover of Volume 27 of Dragon Ball and we’re leaving you to an epic crossover between the protagonists of the series and Naruto’s Akatsuki.
