Barbara Gordon plays a very important role in the new series dedicated to Nightwing. While the plot will direct us to the event ahead Batman Fear State, in the next volume, Batgirl will be wearing a brand new costume that designer Bruno Redondo made for the occasion.
As Batman’s official Twitter account reveals, Barbara Gordon will be wearing a new heroine costume in Nightwing # 84. The artwork, consisting of the triptych of covers from volumes 84 to 86, enables the community to make a contribution check out this garment first.
In response to this tweet, artist Bruno Redondo, who works on the series, revealed the new Batgirl costume in more detail. The new look from “Babs” combines the colors and aesthetics of the costume worn at Burnside with one much more classic design; a perfect connection between the two approaches.
The costume consists of a jacket, the zipper of which is much thinner than on previous items of clothing, and trousers that no longer seem to be made of tight elastane. In the middle of the chest, as usual, is the Bat logo in yellow.
The cloak, which is attached to the shoulders, gives the heroine a streamlined and in some ways regal look. colour black outside and yellow inside, it goes perfectly with the logo and helps highlight the purple of the costume.
In his tweet, Redondo then points out that the cloak is made of memory fabric and that an electrical charge makes it look like two wings. On the back of the suit, hidden under the coat, is a rear reinforcement structure.
Finally, the Batgirl Mask allows readers to see the bottom of the Face of Barbara Gordonwhose lips are covered with a black lipstick that traces the coat. What do you think of the new Batgirl design?
