The death of the Portuguese D. Ace at Marineford was one of the events that marked the first phase of ONE PIECE. Readers were stunned by the death of Luffy’s brother after a war was unleashed to save him. This moment marked the leap in time and the change of the straw hat pirate.
But what would Ace have been like if he survived and slowly followed in his father’s footsteps and become a pirate alone with his crew? A fan asked this question and responded with beautifully designed fan art. Japanese ONE PIECE fan ボ ク オ オ ク ボ (Boku00kubo) has resumed one of the pages of ONE PIECE chapter 965, where the future King of the Pirates made his appearance together with his crew in the flashback of Oden Kozuki.
Below we see this picture that puts put Ace and the Spades pirates in his place. Ace wears his usual clothes, but accompanied by a cape similar to Roger’s, while in the other cartoons we see the most important pirates in the service of the fire fist and whom we also saw better in the light novel dedicated to Ace. Masked Deuce, Skull, Mihar, Kotatsu and all the other pirates accompany Ace in this fanart that is halfway between atmospheric and exciting.
A few chapters later we would have seen the clash between Roger and Whitebeard who knows if Ace would have fought the adoptive father instead of Roger in this alternate universe.
