In the second installment in the Marvel franchise King in blackWe watched Eddie Brock exhale his last breath and die surrounded by his Avengers friends and teenage son Dylan. The fans wondered if he was really dead.
Fans eagerly awaited, knowing that Eddie would appear in Venom’s 32nd issue of the week. In the new edition by Donny Cates and Iban Coello actually only the hero’s spirit is seen, trapped in the spiritual beehive of the Knull symbiote, removed from his earthly body.
While Eddie is still in the mental hive, he works with Rex Stickland to help those still living in the physical world. The duo is joined by a hero they thought was long gone, someone Rex was looking for when he first met Eddie at the beginning of this Venom series.
If you recall, while searching for Eddie in the early editions of Venom, Rex informs the hero that he is actually looking for the long-dead Flash Tompson. Here, Flash will return at the end of Venom # 32to help Eddie defeat Knull from the inside out.
In addition to understanding Eddie that he no longer has a physical body, he will explain that he finally found Flash Thompson, aka Agent Venom, who was trapped in his head before Knull arrived.
Their souls are in the hive, but as Rex explained to Eddie, their bodies are dead. This won’t stop Eddie from going back to the real worldSo if possible, there will be a resurrection from the spirit stick soon enough!
As an agent, Venom transforms into a Funko Pop! Exclusively for Pop in a Box, the agent also comes in a collector’s statue that costs nearly two thousand dollars.
