Monster Musume no Oishasan – Chapter 3: The meat golem who hates doctors

At the end of the review of a mucusDr. Glenn’s clinic receives an unexpected visit. For Lindworm’s councilor, Skadi Dragenfelt needed her skills for her bodyguard Kunai Zenow. Kunai lost his right arm as he faced various slave traders, poor what Glenn is supposed to sew in his place after they find him. Because of Kunai’s past experience, she hates doctors, which makes Glenn’s job more difficult.

While Kunai is looking for his arm alone, Glenn also searches for the limb, but has no information about where the fight took place and has no choice but to look everywhere. In this way, he meets a frightened Tisalia who found a leg while shopping. The leg belongs to Kunai himself, so the doctor picks it up and continues his search for the arm.

After the event, Glenn meets Lulala, who was looking for him to deliver Kunai’s arm, which was launched into the canal. Now that Glenn has both limbs, he’s using his help to find Kunai. Once you are wrong, start sewing and connect both extremities with the indicated care.

Suffering proves that you are alive

in the Monster Musume no Oishasan – Chapter 3 officially appeared Kunai Zenow, a meat golem. Once human, it is now nothing more than corpses united to compose their existence Frankestein Basically. At the previous chapter Kunai had already made a short appearance, but only in a Lulala review, and he didn’t say a word. Just like Skadi Dragenfelt had its first appearance.

Return to Kunai. I admit that I like his face, a fairly beautiful and human one compared to most of his body. Although it consists of other corpses, the size and proportions of the other “parts” give it that decisive monster touch. And in return, they show how it consists of parts that seem to belong to men mainly because of their skin color.

What surprised me the most, although it may be obvious, is that he listened to the voices that belong to the different parts of his body. Just as he could feel, even if he was separated from this part, this time from his limbs. After all, and as I understood, although you can control every part by being together when they are separated, they have a certain “freedom” as if they had their own minds. Something pretty strange and I see it as a curse. Count both aspects and not just the voices screaming your remorse.

Of course, some or all of these voices could be to blame for having this personal diad. So that in Monster Musume no Oishasan – In Chapter 3, you could hear three of these voices that mentioned your regret and fit very well with your current situation. Even that of another lady who mentioned falling in love again. Something with Dr. Glenn seems to be happening. Another acquisition to yours harem.

Whoever gives Kunai a voice is seiyuu Maki Kawasewho also casts his voice on characters like: Ichirou Satou (Nande Koko ni Sensei ga?!), Yunko Konno (Zombieland saga), Ingrid (Hyakuren no Haou to Seiyaku no Valkyria), among other.

I sincerely hoped that Kunai would have this formal way of speaking in most cases, but the tone of the voice is not what I had in mind. Although I can’t say I consider it bad or disagree with the character, I think the character looks great. So I’m going to get used to it pretty quickly.

The dragon lady

Like Kunai, Skadi had looked small before, but it was up Monster Musume no Oishasan – Chapter 3, where you really introduced them. Of course, he had much less screen time than his bodyguard and kept a certain mysterious aura around him. At least that’s how I perceived it. However, I like this mysterious side because I was able to inspire my imagination with different theories to explain different things about it.

For example, the one who speaks at such a low volume that it appears inaudible because he does it, because his voice is very powerful or intimidating to belong to the common dragon race. And he doesn’t want his voice to be heard just because of that.

These theories include one in which Ctulhy is involved. More specifically, his relationship with her and why he didn’t want to deal with the Kunai case and why Glenn recommended him. In short, it was all for Skadi and Kunai to see the interest Glenn (a human doctor specializing in monsters) has in existing together, people with monsters. This is certainly what Skadi has tried from the start and has shown great results. In Kunai, it is comforting to see that not all doctors are so conceited, even if there is a lack of doctors with the same mentality as Glenn. At the same time a lesson for Glenn.

I’m talking about Skadi again and I’m connected to the previous theory. I think I can imagine why he has Kunai at his side. A reason to be that is not only due to its strength. But he does it to get Kunai to find a place where he can’t feel left behind. After all, before it was human and now it’s not a completely natural monster (because it involved experiments in its creation process), in a strange balance between the two species.

I believe that Skadi firmly believes that humans and monsters can live together in peace. And I think that’s because of a strong connection that you had with someone in the past. Maybe even copy or inherit their ideals. Although, as I mentioned earlier, this is nothing more than a theory. Of course I would love it if it were true to give the story depth and such an enigmatic character.

Monster Musume no Oishasan details – Chapter 3

As expected, every chapter of Monster Musume no Oishasan It shows medical, biological and / or scientific details of the various monster races that exist in the world. It was my turn this time mucus and the meat golem. Start quickly with the mucus, which had a very annoying “illness” for him and was unable to maintain his body. Something I never thought of for various reasons, but that generated and answered several questions that I had.

The Slimes can you get sick? At least in this world, they seem to be able to do it. Although I don’t just consider it or call it “illness”, I see it as a changed state of its matter. Well, I’m used to seeing them as a single molecule, in which the core is your heart. Everything for the traditional style of Slimes shown in different works, be it anime, games etc. What is its true form, is it humanoid?

While the meat golem differs from the zombies and ghouls of the world. Well, as I mentioned before, they’re in a kind of balance between humans and monsters. Application of science and medicine of both branches in one being. They don’t feel pain, but they experience it in their own way.

I believe that all of these details, as small as they are, give the series the depth I expected. Including the act of having a doctor and his assistant as protagonists.

On the other hand, a more technical detail in Monster Musume no Oishasan I am not convinced. I mean animation. It’s not bad, far from it, but there are times when I think they could have improved it. Sometimes I didn’t see it as proportional and / or a little disfigured. Although that’s more my own taste.

As for the sound section of the episode, I have to admit that I really enjoyed it. They did a very good job of inserting the precise music into each scene to create more atmosphere. A clear example is the conversation between Glenn and Kunai when he sews their limbs. Personally, I felt fascinated by the scene and its surroundings and felt the conversation they had with greater weight. I am grateful for something and hope that you continue to do so.
