Chapter 8: “The Dreamcatcher Trap”
Hanyo no Yashahime begins his story in the pursuit of Yotsume. However, before his master Kyuki is hiding, he reaches one of the “Four Dangers” of Kirinmaru. It offers you the power of one of the seven rainbow pearls. With the new power, Yotsume knocks Moroha and Towa unconscious, but he cannot defeat Setsuna as she has no dreams that can be stolen.
During the fight, the dream memories of Towa, Moroha and Takechiyo intersect and give Kyuki, who observes everything, important clues about the past and the weaknesses of the young girls. In them we find out that Takechiyo’s father is Hachi, that Inuyasha took over Kirinmaru and Sesshomaru, and that Setsuna’s absence of memories is related to the Tree of Ages. Setsuna eventually defeats Yotsume, and when Moroha and Towa wake up, they go up against Kyuki together. This has absorbed all of the demonic energy of the three girls, but Towa also has this power and uses it to defeat them.
On the other hand, it turns out that Riku is the customer who hired her to defeat the “Four Dangers” and that Takechiyo and Jyubei are at their service.
Analysis: crossed dreams
Hanyo no Yashahime gives us very interesting clues in its eighth episode. Following the circular approach of the first seven chapters, he gives us the individual parts of a complex puzzle whose solution is being asked. So we can definitely say that this will be the dynamics of the series. Patience and charm for adventure for a story without hurry.
The facts of this edition, which are crucial, lead us to theorize and link endlessly, but since we are not a fan of speculation, with so little foundation we will focus on other elements of interest, such as the emotional implications caused by these crossed dreams. And it is known without a doubt to frame these memories in the dream plane and highlight the beauty of the pictures and the suggestion.
The scene of the farewell to Kagome and her little girl is deeply emotional and arouses the viewer’s feelings, because without any melodramatic excess it transmits tension and sadness in a fleeting, very intense scene.
Towa wakes up
Towa’s behavior since she came into feudal times has been somewhat erratic, incoherent; I would even dare add bad construction. The doubts, better or worse said, typical of a 21st century teenager, however, have a before and after after a fight with Kyuki.
When there is a commendable development at the beginning Hanyo no YashahimeThis is exactly the design of its three protagonists on an intellectual and physical level. Towa got lost along the way, overshadowed by Setsuna’s mysterious grace and Moroha’s genius. I don’t like his childish outbursts, they seem tender to me, but this psychological and emotional development was necessary. The release of demonic power is a metaphor for his acclimatization to the new reality. Let’s not lose sight of these.
Riku, a complex enemy
Riku and his interests open up new questions, new possibilities in the plot. He is a character who has come to enrich the cast of antagonists. He has an ambiguous attitude and is powerful. Perhaps we discover certain stereotypes in the development of his personality and appearance, as he presents a certain narcissism with a dose of twisted, truculent passion. Remember, Riku kills what he loves and trusts the work to others when he hates. When love and death go hand in hand, we have the classic enemy with a tendency towards the sadistic.
We will not theorize, although I have some ideas about its origin. Thanks to his ambition, we now know that 7 is the rainbow pearls Hanyo no Yashahime.
Finally
Hanyo no Yashahime Progress in the main story of the saga. He does it slowly, and the revelations are single clues, mere suggestions that add to the intrigue of the beholder. We have to slowly collect the pieces of the puzzle that do not want to reveal their secrets immediately.
On the other hand, we cannot ignore the emotional impact of Kagome’s departure from her daughter along with other important information. Towa’s attitude also stands out, releases her strength and gets to know each other better. Finally, we won’t forget to mention how Riku enriches the cast of antagonists.
Another week, puzzles and adventures keep our intrigue.
