On the official page for the manga Nanatsu Mukunoki, Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita! ((Wataten! An angel flew down to me) the work was found to have exceeded 400,000 accumulated circulating copies. The announcement also revealed the cover of the ninth compiled volume, which will be released in Japan on February 18.

Mukunoki started publishing the manga in the magazine Monthly comic Yuri Hime from the publisher Ichijinsha in November 2016. The publisher published the seventh compilation volume on January 31 and the eighth on September 18. The piece inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by the studios. Doga Kobo, Headed by Daisuke Hiramaki and scripts from Yuka Yamada, Production in January 2019. Production of an animation project to be released in Japan is confirmed.

Synopsis of Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita!

University student Miyako Hoshino is quite shy of other people. She spends most of her time in her bedroom making cosplay costumes. When her fifth grade sister, Hinata, brings her classmate Hana Shirosaki home, Miyako is instantly captivated by her cuteness. Miyako tries to do different things from hana wearing cosplay costumes to sweets. This gives Hana a bad impression of her at first, but Miyako will do everything possible to get closer to the angel who has descended on her.
