In this year's ninth edition of the magazine dessert from the publisher Kodansha The manga has been announced to be written and illustrated by Fujimoto, Koiwazurai no Ellie, will have a new spin-off chapter. The magazine described this chapter as "the true end".

Fujimoto began publishing the manga in Kodansha's dessert magazine in July 2015 and ended on May 23. The publisher published the eleventh volume on May 13, and no release date has yet been given for the twelfth and final volume.

The work was nominated for "Best Shoujo Manga" in the forty-second episode of the "Kodansha Manga Awards" 2018.

Synopsis of Koiwazurai no Ellie

Eriko Ichimura has spent most of her high school life alone. His only hobby is to watch the handsome and quietly spoken Akira "Omi-kun" Ohmi and to publish his romantic fantasies with him on Twitter under the username "Lovesick Ellie".

One day, however, she accidentally looks at the "real" Omi-kun, and if that wasn't enough, he also discovers his Twitter account!
