Tamura is recognized for being the author of the manga Beelzebub, which was published in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine of the Shueisha publishing house between February 2009 and February 2014, to be later moved to the magazine Shonen Jump Next !! under the title Beelzebub Another, and published between May 2014 and March 2015. The manga was compiled into a total of 28 volumes.

The work inspired a 60-episode anime adaptation produced by the studios. Pierrot Plus, under the direction of Yoshiro Takamoto and scripts written by Masahiro Yokotani, released in January 2011.
