for some time, Weekly Shonen Jump has adopted a very different policy. While it was almost impossible in the 2000s and 2010s to give a manga a break of several weeks, there has been a clear change of course in recent months. In fact, after the death of Kentaro Miura, Shueisha paid much more attention to his mangakas.

ONE PIECE, Black Clover, My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen take breaks very often, alternately, but sometimes simultaneously to protect the health of the authors. However, sometimes this is not enough as being a mangaka is a very stressful job and an example comes from Black Clover two weeks ago but now also from Kohei Horikoshi.

The My Hero Academia mangaka was preparing to publish chapter 376 in the manga magazine, which was originally scheduled for December 18th. However, the first Weekly Shonen Jump leaks confirm that there will be nothing this week. In fact, Kohei Horikoshi is in poor health and it was necessary to take an unexpected break. Because of this, My Hero Academia 376 will not be released this week.

Obviously, this comes as a blow to fans around the world, but the freeze won't last long. For the time being there is only a week break and therefore My Hero Academia 376 will be released on Sunday 25th Decemberthis Christmas, on Manga Plus. In addition, the manga is getting the full color opening pages in the magazine and starting a new popularity poll, and maybe that's why Horikoshi wasn't that good, with a lot more work to do on the occasion of this particular chapter.
