A renowned Japanese leaker revealed that the manga was written and illustrated by, according to the comment in the final chapter Hirohiko araki, JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 8: JoJolion ((JoJo's bizarre adventure part 8: Jojolion) is about to be completed.

Araki started publishing the manga in the magazine Ultra Jump from the publisher Shueisha in May 2011 and is the eighth story arc of the franchise JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken ((JoJo's bizarre adventure). The publisher released the twenty-fourth compiled volume on October 21, followed by the twenty-fifth on December 18 in Japan.

Regarding the franchise in general, according to a rumor revealed in October 2020, the company Netflix would unveil a new animation project during a special event due on April 4th. The event is titled "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: The Animated Special Event ~ JOESTAR the Inherited Soul ~" and includes the participation of the speakers for the protagonists of the five previously adapted storylines of the manga. Several fans are convinced that the announcement will be the animated adaptation of the manga Jojo's bizarre adventure: stone ocean, the sixth story arc of work.
