The meeting with Code ended in a series of rather questionable events, and in Chapter 68 of Chapter 68 Boruto: Naruto the next generationsNow available on Manga Plus, author Masashi Kishimoto wanted to quickly deal with the aftermath of the clash before returning to surprise with a series of twists and turns.
The chapter begins with Boruto trying to explain how things went, from his resurrection to the explanation illustrated by Momoshiki to Amado, Katasuke and Sai. While the adults discuss what to do, Boruto reveals that he is able to channel the Otsutsuki’s powers more precisely, and for that he wants to avoid taking medication. The scene switches to the room where an unconscious Kawaki is found. Despite the massive amount of chakra expended during the fight, he appears to be out of danger.
Naruto hears Shikamaru’s words and decides to have a long talk with Kawaki when he wakes up. Meanwhile, the Hokage Advisor is joined by Sasuke, who has gathered vital information about Code Al border of snow country there is a hidden structure which could belong to the cult of Boron, given the traces of experiments on humans and a place where cyborgs were disposed of under Jigen’s orders.
Attention shifts straight to the structure, where Ada updates Code on the current conditions of Boruto, who has remained alive thanks to Karma and the intervention of Momoshiki who made the protagonist 100% Otsutsuki. Ada reiterates to Code the meaning of their agreement: Kawaki in exchange for help to regain the powers of Karma. Despite the threats, the boy remains calm and replies that he has already acted.
Shikamaru goes to Amado, and after confirming the impossibility of Momoshiki’s resurrection, forcibly lifts him from his chair to understand his true intentions and why he restored Kawaki’s karma. When Nara asks the doctor why he’s so obsessed with the boy’s karma, Code makes his move, using the marks left by Shikamaru and materializing in space.
Code, as anticipated by Sasuke to Boruto and his companions, wants first of all recover the abilities of his karma, and it’s enough for Amado to look him in the eye and say an order. Meanwhile, Ino and his team have identified Code’s chakra in Amado’s lab, but Shikamaru intervenes and asks Ino to warn Naruto and not to reach her. In fact, the Councilor wants to face the situation alone, and by revealing to Code that he noticed the mark behind the neck, he reveals his ace up his sleeve: coming out of a pod in the room. deltareprogrammed to defend Konoha.
The chapter ends with Code’s immediate response, using his technique to bring Ada into the room, leaving Amado speechless.
