However, the two writers had given it some thought and included it in the pilot one shot for the series. In the very first draft of the story, which was then heavily modified, the full name of the character was Kenshiro Kasumi. However, during Ken the Warrior he was simply called Kenshiro, very often abbreviated as Ken.
