The Japanese website Comic Natalie and the Japan Cartoonists Association confirmed that Mangaka Daiji Kazumine died of a cerebral haemorrhage and pneumonia on the evening of November 27th. At the age of 84, one of the most famous authors of the past greets us.

Kazumine was born in Tokyo in 1935 and grew up under the protection of the teachings of the illustrator Tomohiko Oka. The Japanese mangaka made its own Debut as an artist in 1956 with the story of Karakuri Yashiki no Himitsu.

Celebrities, especially among fans of Tokusatsu, the genre from which the American Power Rangers emerged, came thanks to the paper adaptations from Ultra series showsincluding the very first Ultraman, Ultraseven, Ultraman Leo, and Ultraman 80.

Kazumine has also drawn numerous others Adaptations of the classic Tokusatsulike Spectreman, Super Giant, National Kid, and Godzilla. The family reportedly decided to hold a private funeral to remember the author.

We join the pain of loved ones by saying goodbye one of the best artists the past. The Ultraman series won't go away with the mangaka, however. Marvel Comics has revealed the cover and the first details of the new Ultraman series. During the inauguration of the Tokusatsu Archive Center, Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi revealed that the new Shin Ultraman movie will be released in the summer of 2021.
