During the Aniplex Online Fest special, it was announced that the second season will be on hiatus for the anime adaptation of the light novels written by Shu and illustrated by Yoshinori Shizuma, Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha (The outsider of the Demon King Academy), will be released in January 2023. A new promotional video has also been released where you can hear what will be the new voice of the character Anos Voldigoad. Remember that he was the voice actor in the first season Tatsuhisa Suzuki who played the character, but after a controversy in his private life he was replaced by Yuichiro Umehara.
A new promotional image for the sequel was also shared.
This second season will be confirmed with two arcs (two quarters) issued separately. The first season itself premiered during the season of Summer 2020 (July-September) in Japan and had a total of thirteen episodes crispy roll takes care of sales in the West. Summary of Maou Gakuin no Futekigousha
In the distant past, a war between humans and demons caused widespread chaos and bloodshed. To end this seemingly endless conflict, Demon King Anos Voldigoad willingly sacrificed his life in hopes of being reborn in a peaceful future. In preparation for their king’s return, the demon race established the Demon King Academy, an elite institution tasked with determining the identity of Anos when he awakens. He is reborn two millennia later, but to his surprise, he soon discovers that the level of magic in the world has dropped drastically during his absence.
As he enrolls in the academy to reclaim his rightful title, he discovers that the demons remember him differently. His personality, his actions and even his legacy are being falsified, masquerading under the name of an impostor. This “lack” of general knowledge makes him the outlier of the Academy, an outsider unprecedented in history. Despite these disadvantages, Anos is undeterred. As he sets out to uncover those who changed his glorious past, he takes it upon himself to make his descendants realize that their ruler has finally returned.
