Yuuta Okkotsu is cursed. Ever since his childhood friend Rika died in a car accident, her spirit has stayed with him. But her spirit doesn’t appear like the cute girl Yuuta once knew. Instead, it manifests as a monstrous and powerful entity that fiercely protects him. Unable to control Rika’s violent behavior, Yuuta finds himself powerless to stop the bloodshed that follows his brutal revenge. Therefore, when he is arrested by the “Jujutsu” wizards, the secret guardians of the world who are trained to fight against forces like Rika, Yuuta wishes to be completely isolated so that no one else can be harmed.
However, his captor, master magician Satoru Gojou, has other plans for him: he will attend the High School of Jujutsu and learn to control Rika in order to help people. Now, in his first year at this school, Yuuta begins to learn the arts of jujutsu and fight against evil beings.
