On the official site for the series created by Masaki Kajishima and directed by Hiroki Hayashi, Tenchi Muyo!, a new promotional video was revealed for the release of the third Blu-ray of the fifth season of Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki.
The launch is scheduled for next August 28, in fact the full schedule of releases is scheduled as follows:
- Volume # 1: February 28, 2020.
- Volume # 2: May 29, 2020.
- Volume # 3: August 28, 2020.
- Volume # 4: November 27, 2020.
- Volume # 5: February 26, 2021.
- Volume # 6: May 28, 2021.
Originally, Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki It is the title of an OVA released in 1992 that was the first in a multimedia franchise, with numerous sequels and spinoffs. The OVA was followed by Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki Dai-2-Ki (the second season) and for Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki Dai-3-Ki (the third season).
Recently, the fourth season of OVAs titled Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki Dai-4-Ki premiered in 2016 after 11 years of franchise downtime. The season had four episodes, the last being released in September 2017.
