On the official site for the animated feature film based on the role-playing game for smartphones, Ta ga Tame no Alchemist, it was announced that the launch of the film in Blu-ray format will be made on August 27 in Japan.

In fact, the launch was scheduled for May 27, however, due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on planning, the decision was made to delay it.

The company Fuji & Gumi Games released the game in January 2016. The game is a tactical role-playing game centered around seven characters and themed around the Seven Deadly Sins. The game has more than 8 million downloads worldwide.

Synopsis of Ta ga Tame no Alchemist

The game takes place on the continent of Babel, where the Tower of Babel occupies an important place in seven nations. After the invention of alchemy led to its use as a tool of war that brought humanity to the brink of extinction, the seven nations achieved an uneasy peace that led to a ban on alchemy for hundreds of years since then. In Continental Year 911, the Lustrice nation broke the pact by assembling an alchemy-fueled army with ambitions to conquer the continent. Led by Envylia, the six nations allied themselves and brought down the rebellious nation, throwing alchemy once more into darkness. But 20 years after the war, alchemy once again begins to wreak havoc on earth.
