During a live stream on Dengeki Online's YouTube channel, the author of Sword Art Online Reki Kawahara and the producer of Aniplex Masami Niwa have confirmed the release period of the second part of the season of SAO: Alicization - War of Underworld. The anime had been postponed last month for problems related to the Coronavrus pandemic.
The two, interviewed for the occasion together with the editor of the original series Kazuma Miki and the Bandai Namco Entertainment producer Yousuke Futami, confirmed that the production of Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld 2 has ended and that the series will return in the month of July 2020. During the same period, the third season of Oregairu and Re: Zero 2 will also be released.
The author then took up the words spoken a few weeks ago by the animation director of A-1 Pictures Gou Suzuki, thanking fans for their patience and advising everyone to stay at home. Also in this regard, the official website dedicated to the work published the visible image below, in which Eugeo gives the same advice to the protagonist Kirito.
