Shuumatsu no Valkyrie Anime Reveals New Promotional Video

On the official page for the animated adaptation of the manga by Takumi Fukui Y. Shinya Umemuraand illustrated by Ajichika, Shuumatsu no Valkyrie ((Record of Ragnarok) the second promotional video of the project was released. The press release confirmed that the series will premiere worldwide on Netflix on June 17th. In addition, the video has English subtitles and shows the opening theme, titled “Kamigami,” performed by Maximum the hormone.

The announcement also included a new promotional image for this animation project.

For their part, Fukui, Umemura, and Ajichika began publishing the manga through the magazine Monthly comic Zenon from the publisher Tokuma Shoten in November 2017. The publisher published the ninth compiled volume in Japan on December 19. A spin-off manga called Shuumatsu no Valkyrie: Lu Bu Housen Hishouden, is written and illustrated by Takeo Ono and has been published in the same journal since October 2019 with three volumes compiled so far.

• Masaki Saito is responsible for the character design.
• Yasuharu Takanashi ((Naruto Shippuden) is responsible for composing the soundtrack.
• MAXIMUM THE HORMONE plays the opening song entitled “KAMIGAMI” while SymaG plays the final song entitled “Fukahi”.

Shuumatsu no Valkyrie Synopsis

High above the human kingdom, the gods of the world have come together to decide on one thing: the continued existence of humanity. Under the head of Zeus, among other things, the deities of ancient Greece, Norse mythology and Hinduism gather every thousand years to decide the fate of mankind. Because of their relentless abuse of one another and of the planet, the gods unanimously vote this time to end humanity.

But before the term of office expires, Brunhild, one of the 13 demigod Valkyries, presents an alternative proposal: instead of destroying humanity in an anti-climactic way, you should give them the chance to fight and represent Ragnarok, a one-on-one -Confrontation between man and God Spurred on by the boldness of the challenge, the divine advice is quick to accept and is utterly confident that this competition will show the absolute power of the gods. To have a chance against the highest beings, Brunhild has to collect the greatest characters in history, otherwise the death sentence will ring for humanity.
