An entirely new version of Takeshi Konomi’s work, The prince of tenniswas unveiled during Jump Festa 2021 Online, where the movie’s first trailer and poster were shown to the public, along with the new release date for Fall 2021.

The film was originally announced for spring 2020 and then postponed to 2021. With the trailer we got a first real insight into the style of the film and much to the surprise, it will be the franchise’s first 3DCG release that takes Ryoma Echizen into a new dimension.

The title will be Ryoma! Rebirth film The Prince of TennisThe new film will be released in Japan on September 3, 2021. The show’s creator, Takeshi Konomi, will oversee the film, which will also close the gaps between the events of The prince of tennis and its continuation The new prince of tennis. You can see the trailer at the bottom of this message along with the poster of the film that was posted on the film’s official Twitter account.

Ryoma! Rebirth film The Prince of Tennis will be a completely original story This will cover the three months gap between The prince of tennis and its continuation. It is directed by Hiroshi Koujina for The monk studio and Keica in collaboration with Studio KAI.

Takehiko Hata will be writing the script for the film, Patricia Hishikawa will oversee the CG, Kei Yoshimizu will be the animation director, Momoko Yamada will be the CG directing, Takeshi Takadera will be the sound director, and Kei Tsuda will be the composer.

Unfortunately There is currently no news for a possible release outside of Japan.
