The series of Pokemon: Explorations made Ash and co-star Goh’s adventure even more compelling than previous seasons of the anime. Travel to regions already visited, the return of familiar faces and the World Coronation Series have all brought Ketchum one step closer to winning the title, but what will happen in the final episode?
The excellent results achieved in the Alola archipelago and the hard training in the face of the competition, which brought together the best trainers from around the world, made Ash a more than capable trainer. After defeating Camilla, champion and archaeologist from the Sinnoh region, the protagonist managed to achieve his goal: Face off against Dandel in the grand final of the tournament.
The fight between the two ends on November 11, 2022, the date of the final episode of the anime and exactly one week before the international release of the new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet games. The episode is entitled “Land Final IV: Partners‘, words that aroused curiosity and confusion among viewers.
It has long been rumored that Ash Ketchum will no longer be the protagonist of the Pokémon anime starting next season. If Biancavilla’s trainer manages to defeat Dandel, and to Get the world title, it would therefore be a fitting ending to his 25-year adventures, and he may retire as Red in the Pokémon Adventures manga. However, before Ash leaves, he could be Goh or any other mentor hypothetically taking his role next season.
